Our Story

Rooted in the land, guided by the heart

Wild Hearts Farm is a small family operation in southern Maine. We believe in farming with intention and strive to give back to the soil, the land, and the community.

From our orchard and community gardens to our berry patches and our laying flock, everything raised and grown here is done so with love and care, and in harmony with nature to the best of our ability.

Grown Together

Community Garden

Our community garden is a shared growing space where neighbors and community members come together to create food security and a sense of belonging. We grow summer and winter squashes, greens, herbs, tomatoes, peppers, beans, onions, potatoes and more.

The garden operates on a cooperative model of shared labor and shared harvest. Whether you show up to weed on a Tuesday morning or want to start seeds in your home, there's a place for you here. No experience necessary, just a willingness to get your hands in the soil.

What We Stand For

01

Cooperative

We grow and share together with our members, creating a tangible system of support right here in our local community. We're starting with a cooperative community garden and look forward to what we create from there.

02

Regenerative

We follow regenerative practices as much as possible. We strive to work in harmony with nature, and return more to the soil than we take. We know that healthy land means not just healthier food, but a healthier planet.

03

Community First

We're growing something more than food: community-focused food security, as well as resilience, connection, and trust with local families and neighbors.

04

Inclusive for All

We strive to create a safe space for our neighbors of all races, ages, genders, sexual orientations, and physical abilities — which means we prioritize the safety of the most vulnerable.
